PROOF | A Found Footage Body Swap Short Film

Halloween night, 1996. Tyler and Owen squeeze through the chained gate of Lakeshore Playland, shut since the summer of ‘79, with a camcorder and a dare: go into the Mirror Maze and come back with proof. The legend says two kids went in on a dare and came out screaming, clawing at their own faces. What nobody ever said is what the mirrors do. Stand in front of the glass together, and you walk out in each other’s bodies.

PROOF is a found footage body swap short film, told entirely through one 1996 camcorder tape. Tyler is the loud, cocky show-off; Owen is the quiet one stuck behind the camera. Deep in the maze, the reflections start moving on their own, and when they turn to look at each other, the swap is only the beginning. Something lives in the glass, and it comes for whoever is still inside.
